About Us
We are here to support you through the most important period of your children lives:
Their Early Years

How we started
Our Pre-School is at the heart of the local community within Springfield Park. We have been helping children to explore, imagine, develop and prepare for school for over 40 years. We are a non-profit making, registered charity and we are based at Springfield Park Baptist Church in Chelmsford.
At Springboard Pre-School
We believe that every day is a learning day and that learning is all around us.
We pride ourselves on ensuring that all children are coming into a loving, caring environment where they are valued and listened to.
Our high adult to child ratio ensures that every child receives individualised attention.
We ensure that children are in a safe, stimulating, and diverse environment which fosters development through interaction, skill-building, and strong partnerships with the children and staff.

Imagine
Imaginative play enhances language skills and creativity; teaching empathy and cooperation as children imagine scenarios together.
Create
Our children have the freedom to create and innovate, which develops their problem-solving skills and boosts their confidence.
Explore
Children explore their environment with curiosity and wonder, allowing them to ask questions, test their ideas, and learn.
Learn
Activities offered allow children to use critical thinking, communication, and collaboration, ensuring that they have the skills they need for future success.
The best early learning experience
At Springboard Pre-School, we believe that early learning should be an adventure filled with creativity, exploration, imagination, and discovery. Our approach to early childhood education:
~ is designed to inspire young minds
~is to cultivate a lifelong love of learning.
Core Values
Excellence
We encourage children and staff to have high expectations and we ensure that every child is appropriately challenged, and every member of staff is trained and enabled to deliver their best.
Teamwork
We encourage everyone to learn from each other, support one another, collaborate and co-operate in everything they do. We positively promote skills such as taking turns, listening skills, teamwork, conflict resolution and leadership.
Respect
We encourage children to treat others with respect and promote the equality and inclusion of all. We celebrate good manners and courteous actions and our staff model how to show understanding towards others by caring for every individual.
Growth
We encourage every child to question, build, grow in their faith, friendships, knowledge, and understanding. Here, children receive support as they develop a healthy awareness of self-respect and self-esteem.
Vision
Our Pre-School is an environment where your children can Create, Explore, Imagine and Learn.
Mission
To transform the lives of the children and families we work with, by providing the highest quality personalised care and education to all children that is child-centered and values all children as individuals.
